If choices come your way When your marching down the street You come to the crossroads of your life Follow your heart Follow your feet Sometimes you've got to stand Sometimes you've got to fight CRY FREEDOM, Richard Frankland Indigenous singer/songwriter/filmaker, Richard Frankland and the Charcoal Club (music for burnt out blacks and singed whites) have just released their latest CD titled CRY FREEDOM. The CD was launched with a series of shows at the Famous Spiegeltent, Melbourne in early December, 2006. The Charcoal Club are Richard Frankland, Andy Baylor, Monica Weightman, Aurora Kurth, Rosanne Hunt, Andrew O¹Grady and Harry Lye. CRY FREEDOM features 12 original blues/acoustic songs by Richard Frankland and the band including a new studio version of the title track CRY FREEDOM which Richard, Monica and Aurora performed to over 100,000 during the recent Anti IR Laws Rally in Melbourne. CRY FREEDOM was recorded at Metropolis Studios in June 2005 and was produced with funding support by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts and advisory body and Arts Victoria.
