LOVE, LOSS & MURDER Cat# SV0531 
The Somervilles began life as an ad-hoc band for a Peter
Somerville gig at the famous Lomond Hotel in Melbourne in 2005 under
the inspired name of ‘Banjovi'. Following litigation it was decided
to rename the band after the banjo player.
Original member and guitar player, Alex Aronsten, left
the band in June 2006 to pursue a solo career.
Peter is joined by Chris Bitcon on guitar, Rod Boothroyd
on acoustic bass and Pete Fidler on dobro. Together they share lead
vocal duties as they mine the Bluegrass back-catalogue and throw in
some left-field gems and original tunes.
Blistering instrumental solos and tight harmonies make
the Somervilles an act not to be missed.
