The Album – will be hitting record stores across Australia on Monday November 29th, nearly 1 hour of all round rocking goodness to satisfy all tastes! We will follow with a very special Album Launch on Thursday December 2nd

Lead singer Maza wanted to start a band and he knew he should be able to find some people in the ranks of his work place. Three committed rockers emerged raging and ready; and Maza, Nick, Mim andMark became SonicJihad.

In September 1999 they released their first e.p "Mission:Position", which earned them "Mystery Artist of the Week" on JJJ radio.

In 2000 their song "Sunshine" made it to the final of the ChaosMusic.com International Download competition for unsigned artists.

They kicked 2001 with a live to air performance on Monash Radio and a subsequent appearance at Offshore Festival, playing with the likes of Ben Harper, Fat Boy Slim and You Am I to name a few. At the same time "Wish", one of the songs from their first ep, made it to number 13 on the top 100 listener countdown on Philippines radio 105.7 fm, 'The Home of New Rock'.

Then September came along and after a run of bad luck and minor disasters the band decided to take a break and pursue some solo projects whilst at the same time trying to come up with a more 'politically correct' name.

The band got back together over a year later and after playing a couple of gigs under a variety of names, it was decided to go back to the source, and SonicJihad was reborn.

The saga continues ...................................
