After returning from three years on a sacred island in the koro sea, Dave Steel and Tiffany Eckhardt offered to co-produce Simon L. Evans' debut album for him. The fundamentals were laid down on the island, whilst he was there, and upon returning to his hometown in Australia, these two accomplished musicians assisted Mr Evans in his need to express his music to the world.

"The most sensitive moment is created by the tilte song "Draw Mountains" in which Tiffany Eckhardt's voice meets you as a cooling mountain breeze. Eyes closed, headphones up, you can let yourself be carried away through grass green valleys in the middle of a mountain range that are the guardians of the tomb of the beloved.
With the simplicity of instruments that includes acoustic guitar, subtly supported by mandolin, mouth organ, accordion and a heavenly sounding slide guitar ( all Dave Steel), he knows how to bring perfect nuances together with the beautiful harmonious voice of Tiffany Eckhardt. Less is often more, and this is what Simon Evans understood very well. This is a strong piece of work for a debut album that will move for sure the romantic souls amongst us.

Simon Llewelyn Evans was born in Melbourne, 1980. He was raised in Geelong, near the Barwon River in Victoria by his loving mother and father. At the age of eighteen, he moved to Melbourne. At the age of twenty-four he travelled towards the deep South Pacific ocean to live on a Sacred Island on the Koro Sea. He remained there for three years. After returning to Australia in December 2007, his first album consists of the songs he wrote on the Island on the Koro Sea...........

Now, at twenty-seven, he resides near Warrandyte in Victoria, Australia. He works with nylon string guitar and voice. He is "Draw Mountains There". Accompanied by the priestly flavors of Aaron Nakagawa, his Island recordings became his solo step into the music world again. He has just completed the recording of his debut album, with the help and contribution of Dave Steel and Tiffany Eckhardt. Dave Steel offered to help Simon record the album after Simon showed him a demo of the songs he had written in the South Pacific. Tiffany Eckhardt, upon hearing it said: "don't touch it Dave! He should put out an album of just guitar and voice, it's good the way it is, leave it alone!" But having now completed the album, Dave and Tiffany's workings on it very much compliment and bring some sweet, sweet touches to Simon's work. He is truly heart-grateful for their friendship and loving support.
