Ross has recently dusted off the acoustic and started gigging again, to the consternation of music lovers everywhere. He has joined forces with two formidable partners of music past - Doug Ashdown and Mark Holden, and has been sharing the spotlight with one or the other at various times over the past couple of months. He has recently completed a successful tour of NSW with Doug, the highlight of which being a morning with Kerri-Anne on the Channel 9 show, Mornings With Kerri-Anne. Despite the unrockly starting time, Ross and Doug cooked up a musical storm with the song "24 Hours" and proved that rock gods never die, they just go to bed earlier.

Ross' next tour bus outing is with Mark Holden, who is enjoying rediscovered fame as the perplexing judge on Australian Idol. Under the name "Idol and Idle", Ross and Mark perform their hits in separate sets, then pair up for a double dipping. You can catch them next in NSW, on Friday September 24 at the Mt Pritchard Community Club, Mt Pritchard, NSW and Saturday September 25 at the Umina Beach Bowling Club, Umina Beach, NSW. Avid readers of The Age Green Guide will know that Ross's Number 1 hit from the seventies "I am Pegasus" is set to be featured in the new five-part ABC television series "Love is in the Air". The first of the series went to air on Sunday 12 October and "I am Pegasus" is one of five featured songs in the last episode entitled "National Anthems" airing on Sunday 9 November 2003. This is terrific timing for the release "One Person Queue", Ross's first studio album in many years.
Ross's offer of "immortality" in the form of a name credit on his new CD was a huge success with over 1,500 people eager to see their name printed in the CD booklet. This has led to a somewhat fat booklet accompanying the CD and an encouraging amount of pre-release orders.
Also included on the CD is a bonus video of the current single "Cool River" - produced by students of the RMIT Film Studies.
Currently Ross is planning to do some live dates with his long-time friend Mark Holden (currently a judge on the Australian Idol television show) beginning with two 'Off-Broadway' shows in Bairnsdale, Victoria. Look out for "Idol & Idle"!
