ROCK CITY are about to launch onto the music scene with a fanfare seldom
witnessed by a unknown act. With the roots of eighties rock and a sound
as big as today, these guys have one little secret weapon up their sleeves.
Their lead singer just happens to have a gold album and a platinum single
under his studded belt! With a legion of fans still eager for more and
the national exposure some artists dream of, LEE HARDING has some unfinished
business with the music world.
With the public still hot on his tail, Lee has evolved, with a new look,
a new sound and a new band that is sure to create a media frenzy wherever
they tread. ROCK CITY is due to release their debut album WELCOME
TO ROCK CITY on October 1st 2007 through Sound Vault Records.
What more can we say but
.Welcome To Rock City
From the outset, "Lee Harding and Rock City" is destined
for great success both in Australia and abroad. The exposure of unimaginable
proportions gained through months of television performances and a subsequent
gold album, "Australian Idol" has given Lee a platform rarely
created, to launch an amazing band. With the rock genre making a huge
resurgence in the music market worldwide, "Lee Harding and Rock
City" is poised to unleash a new album and bring the house down.
A live show to astound and an album with instant and increasing appeal,
the guys would like to start off by saying "Welcome To Rock City".
LEE HARDING needs no introduction. He placed third on one of Australian
televisions' highest rating shows in 2005. Australian Idol was a perfect
format to launch Lee's infectious talent to the music loving public
and, together with Sony- BMG, produced a gold selling album 'What's
Wrong With This Picture?' From this album, Lee released three singles,
with the song "Wasabi" achieving platinum status. This success
was duly noted by the public and his peers, with Lee accepting an ARIA
award in 2007 for his achievements. With a new band, a desire to evolve
as an artist and reach a greater audience, this band and album is sure
to pick up, and eclipse, where his first album left off.
AARON BATEMAN and FABIAN MCCLOY are like two peas in a pod, complementing
one another with some amazing guitar techniques. Having worked together
as artists both live and in a recording environment for many years,
these two guys are in synch from go to whoa and bring an enviable dynamic
to the band.
CHRIS 'Chuck' EVANS could slot nicely into the pod of the previous
artists having thumped the bass strings many a time for Aaron and Fabes.
Chuck is self-modelled in style; to draw a comparison would be difficult,
though 'Flea' from the Chilli Peppers is an obvious influence. In this
band Chuck really is the rhythm guru.
MICK SPENCER is a rock. A tighter and more polished rock drummer would
be seldom found in the industry and Mick has been the lynchpin of the
Lee Harding phenomena from the outset. With a humour only outweighed
by his drumming talent, Mick is the perfect foundation to, what will
be, a very successful musical act, both here and abroad.
