GENETICALLY MODIFIED Cat# SV0522 Panika's latest release, "genetically modified" is a melting pot of sizzling Australian electro-hip hop lushness. Once again, never afraid to voice an opinion, panika slides through issues of life, love, living and all that comes in between through a blend of hip hop, drum n bass and electro squelch beats. As a solo female artist, Panika, has spent the last year mac-top- DJing around Melbourne, and working with other like-minded hiphopheads like DJ noir and El-fee from LABJACD. Recorded in a 1970s unit this album is a truly underground experience.

2 FOR BREATHING Cat# SV0440 Panika is Rosie Burgess, a solo female artist from Melbourne, 2 for breathing is an original Australian Hip Hop EP, produced, written and recorded by Panika in her bedroom-studio. Panika has been mactop-dj-ing around Melbourne during 2004 under the name DJ Phobic, mixing underground Australian hip hop with her own trax. This is Rosie’s 4th album, produced & released through "Payne Street Record", the independant label she established in 2001. She has also organised various nights around Melbourne, bringing together musicians from genres across the spectrum. With an album due out in March 2005, this precursor EP is distributed by Sound Vault Records, and available in all good independent record stores. |
